EMR SENIOR CONSULTANT

We are seeking a candidate with extensive knowledge of contemporary Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. The candidate is familiar with the modules deployed with an EHR, Implementation best practice, associated workflows and templates and an implementation background. This candidate will be solely focused on existing clients and the continued development of the EMR vertical of our company. The successful candidate also possesses the technical experience and expertise to manage the EHR projects.
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to develop new sales relationships and customers to increase business volume across the EMR vertical.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the EMR business, business development, and implementation methodologies of the EMR in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Demonstrates the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with the project team, key clinical stakeholders, physicians and C-level Executives.
- Exhibits solid knowledge of the patient access, clinician workflows and ordering practices, clinical sub systems such as Lab/Radiology/Cardiology and other ancillary departments.
- Works closely and collaboratively with other project team members and clinical leaders.
- Experience with resource allocation and profit-and-loss management
- Participates and facilitates building, planning and problem solving discussions with project teams, clinicians, and leadership.
- Facilitates development of integrated workflows working closely with the rest of the project team, subject matter experts and technical leads to define processes that cross applications and functional areas.
- Displays a solid understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions.
- Displays a solid knowledge and skill set for EMR system build/trouble shooting.
- Demonstrates solid organizational and presentation skills.
- Approaches problems constructively by focusing on how to move the project forward.
- Collaborates to seek resolution of system design conflicts for points of integration and communicates risk implications.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to project changes related to scope, schedule, workflow, and system utilization.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
- Familiar with HIPAA, JCAHO and other regulations that impact hospitals, and clinics.
- Safeguards protected health information from any intentional or unintentional disclosure in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates awareness and familiarity with Meaningful Use requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Will lead the development of the EHR vertical of the company
- Will partner with Director of Marketing to identify and expand new business opportunities
- Works with company operations teams to identify operational workflows, identify appropriate solutions for implementing EMR implementation scheduling, obtaining approval from operations and IT, defining timelines, application build, testing, training, implementation and post go-live support.
- Provides documentation as warranted on workflows, build documentation, timeline and project plans, test scripts and outcomes.
- Provides service to client, while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures.
- Assists with the design and documentation of system functional requirements in formats to facilitate the development of deliverables such as Request for Proposals and/or Information, custom development efforts, project based planning documents such as scope documents and client services communication.
Education (minimum)
Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare or Healthcare IT related field or equivalent experience.
PMI Certification a plus
