Mr. Meland is a nationally recognized leader of medical imaging with over 30 years of experience in multi-site healthcare operations, financial management, planning, capital acquisition, personnel management and project management. He is currently serving as Operations Consultant to a large 33 site state-run imaging program. Prior to joining Ascendian, Merle served as Director of Medical Imaging for government, academic and community hospitals, and also founded a healthcare consulting firm. He has broad experience in design and operations of new departments, ranging from basic imaging departments to highly complex integrated healthcare systems.
Merle holds a B.S. degree in Management, is a Registered Radiologic Technologist, retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant, and an AHRA Fellow, and has extensive leadership training acquired during his Air Force career.
