Two members of the Ascendian executive team, Shawn McKenzie and Jef Williams, have been selected to speak at this year's AHRA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington D.C. Their presentation takes place on August 24th from 8:00am-9:30am and is titled "Succession Planning that Makes Sense Fiscally and Strategically."
McKenzie and Williams will discuss how the organization and efficiency of a thorough succession plan are critical to maintaining operational and fiscal success in an imaging department. They will identify the essential components of a succession plan including best practices for identifying leadership candidates and tips on how to implement a development path for potential leaders.
“Good organizations require good leaders; and the transition of leadership is often disruptive and counter-productive to the department unless a well-crafted succession plan has been developed and implemented,” McKenzie stated.
Hosted by the Association for Medical Imaging Management, the AHRA Annual Meeting and Exposition is touted as the premier educational event for radiology professionals and is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees.
